Why are so many poeple interested in the lifes of famous people?

Like for example, LeBron James was caught speeding 101 mph.. Like who cares?

If a normal person was speeding it wouldn't be all over the news, people need to grow up and need to get with there own lifes such as paporazzi taking pictures of people who they wish to be like, and just lie about the lives of other people..

I couldn't careless about any celebrity.

They live in a world of wealth and privilege and I can't relate to their world what so ever. Then many have the audacity to act as if they are 'deserving" of their "celebrity status".

some people don't have enough life of their own and so they need to know everything about famous people. also, i think a lot of people like to be reminded that even though they're famous they're still people.
People like to live vicariously through the lives of others. And then they like to tell people how they would do everything differently.

but people like to take the attention off themselves and their own flaws and magnify others...which in this case would be those of celebrities.

because they are thought to be flawless and perfect, and people just don't see that they are human just like we are.

and they need to layyyy offf ittt.
Because we live vicariously through others. Our own lives are so boring and uneventful, we become obsessed with celebs because they're exciting. I don't know about the speeding thing, that seems a little common place, but in general.
