If you had to start a franchise which two players would you choose?

Kobe Bryant (best player in NBA history)

Paul Pierce (One of the best players in NBA)

Tracy McGrady (all talk but no way out of 1st round)

Michael Redd (best left handed player in NBA)

Lebron James (overrated player)

Carmelo Anthony (good mid range game)

Dwyane Wade (extremely overrated player)

Chris Bosh (very capable of scoring)

Judging from your list, I'd take D-Wade and LeBron as my 2 cornerstone players because they have proven themselves to be very clutch players. LeBron singlehandedly beat the Pistons in Game 5 of the postseason last year and D-Wade lead Miami to an NBA championship over Dallas. The reason why I choose these 2 guys is because they are unselfish players who are willing to pass the ball and share the glory. Having a D-Wade and LeBron on the same team, I probably don't even need an inside player because these 2 guys command so much attention that it will open up shots for their teammates. They both have a well-rounded game and they do play defense as evident by their 2 steals and 1 block average per game. You can't go wrong having these 2 on your team.

Of those players?

LeBron and Chris Bosh.

That gives you an inside/outside combo of a similar age... they will mature together and peak together. And it gives you time to build the rest of the franchise, where as if you grab Kobe or one of the other vets, your window is much smaller.

BTW, your oppinions on these players are, of course, valid, but mine differ.

I gotta say, Kobe is awesome, but better than Mike? How do you figure that? Better than Oscar? How? Better than Wilt? In what respect? Better than Russell? In regards to what? I'd rate him high (and I love watching him), but it's very debatable where.

Paul Pierce? Um.... yes... he's good... but I can name about 15 guys I pick before him. (If you care, in no particular order: Duncan, Shaq, Kobe, AI, Wade, KG, T-Mac, Yao, Lebron, Amare, Nash, Dirk, Kidd, Marion) and a bunch of guys who are equally as good (Brand, Gasol, Carter, Areanas, Carmello, Marbury, Boozer, Ray Allen). He's very good, but not that special.

LeBron was overrated... but that's swinging back the other way now. And did you see him in the Detroit series? He's for real.

Melo is a better Paul Pierce, who is a better Glen Robinson. So, good... but kind of one dimensional.

Wade? Overrated? Have you ever watched him? You can't like Kobe and dislike Wade. he's heaven to watch, and Soooooooo skilled.

And T-mac... for all the knocks, no-one ever thought he was a franchise player. He was never ment to be. it just so happened that Hill went down in Orlando, and so his supporting cast was lacking, (and yes, he had some kinks in his game he needed to work on), and then he went to Houston, where he was supposed to be the second fiddle to Yao, but actually turned out to be a better player (if often injured). He keeps on having to be the best player on his team, which he is capable of being, but was never the intention!
Definitly Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett!!! they would be really good together.
Kobe is a big ballhog. I'll never choose him in a million years.

Dwayne Wade is the best no duh!

and I'd take Tracy Mcgrady .
kobe bryant and u didn't name a center so u really not gonna win a championship so i'll name my own

greg oden
1. LeBron- need a guard who can pass, Kobe doesnt pass much, T-Mac is injury prone. i woulda said them if these two facts werent true. Redd would be pretty good with shooting and defense but he hasnt stepped up in the playoffs

2. Bosh- need a dominant big man and Bosh can do it all
Why not just list the names without YOUR opinion. That is so lame! Why not get our opinions instead? If we want to get chosen as the best answer, we must kiss your a** and pick Kobe and Pierce, with considerations to Redd, Melo and Bosh.

I actually AGREE with you about Kobe as he's the best player in the game and Lebron would be my second choice, and Pierce (I love his game also) would be third. Wade and Bosh should be on your list, but Melo, Redd and McGrady shouldn't be on anyone's top ten list. Melo simply cares about getting his 30 and couldn't guard my grandmother. All three of them have never won a playoff series (maybe Redd won one series) so that disqualifies them altogether.

Duncan, Kidd, Nowitzki and Nash, plus about a dozen other players would be ahead of those three stiffs you put on your list so get a clue dude!
Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

If I had my own list, it would be Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant.
Kobe Bryant and Chris Bosh. Kobe's the best player and Bosh is the only big man available.
Kobe and T-mac.
Kobe Bryant for sure, he is 2 dominant not to have.

Paul pierce is overrated, kobe had the same amount of talent and made the playoffs in a harder conference.

T-mac is a great player but he has never made it past the first round of the playoffs.

Redd shoots 2 much is not an asset to any team

Lebron is good but i already have kobe.

Carmelo is the same as Lebron

same with D-wade

Chris bosh still has more 2 prove after getting upset by new jersey.

MY second player would have to be either KG because he is a solid double double every night or dirk Novitkzki because he is so talented, or amare just because he is a freak of nature. i would draft Kidd third cause of the tirple doubles and my starting five would be

PG- Jason Kidd (3rd pick)

SG-Kobe Bryant (1st pick)

SF- Gerald Wallace (5th pick)

PF-Kevin Garnett (2nd pick)

C- Ben Wallace (4th pick)
Lebron James- 21 years old and nasty already

Dwight Howard- 21 years old and nasty too

1 big man and one swing man
man i would choose

Dwayne Wade and Kobe
kobe bryant and lebron James. They could carry and lead the team anytime
tim duncan and tony parker
LBJ and Wade.

Definitely the best combo and no conflict on position.
LBJ and wade. There not ovverated
kobe bryant- very experienced and of course the best right now

lebron james-dont really like him but he's a hell of a player
T- Mac and Melo from your list. From MY list: Marion and... hmmm... probably A.I.
I'll pick Kobe Bryant but I contradict your statement, he is not the best basketball player in NBA history. I'll pick because of his versatility, he is one of the most complete offensive player, a very good defender and can do anything.

Second, I'll choose Michael Redd, a very good shooter with range.

Lastly, I agree with you that Wade %26amp; McGrady are two of the most over-rated players.
kobe and garnett

or

kobe and dwight howard or amare
D-WADE and KG
From your list I would go with......

Lebron James

D-Wade
James because he is a great young graud

Bosh because he is a great young center-forward
