Why are the NBA Finals first 2 games at home and 3 games straight on the roadand then 1 @ home an so

Why isn't it 2-2-1-1-1 = 7 Games Total ? Why can't the NBA change this around it's an unfair advantage for the team that plays 1st 2 agmes at home in this case San Antonio why are they giving the road team an advantage? Isn't it more than enough that Cleveland has Lebron James on that team ?

Also they don't want the better seed to win in fewer games. Having a stretch of 3 road games often extends the series, imagine if last years finals was 2-2-1-1-1 then the Mavericks would have won, but Dallas was discouraged by losing on the road and it gave Miami momentum.

so they don't have to travel to a different state every other day. This way they'll have time to rest and stuff. Different attitude in states can wearout your enegery!
oh stop whining! i would think spurs fans would be happy that the first 2 games are in their house. i know we would have loved it if we could have had the first 2 games here in cleveland. but it makes no never mind cuz like u said we got LBJ so it dont matter if we r in ur house or ours. GO CAVS!!
To reduce travel time. It started when the Boston Celtics played the L.A. Lakers back in the 1980's. And it is a long flight from the east coast to the west coast.

And it gives the team that doesn't have the home court advantage for the series the opportunity to win a couple and extend the series and cause more drama. = More ticket sales and more money.
They are on a 2-3-2 format, not a 2-3-1-1. How is that an advantage? San Antonio has FOUR games at home. The Cavs have THREE. In primary school, i wa taught that three comes before four...
they do this so the players don't have to travel so much. Can you imagine traveling back and forth from San Antonio to Cleveland?? This would make for a terrible series because players would be exhausted and then there would be no advantage to anyone.
