Lebron is a better defender this playoffs. Kobe never "Shut down" Ginobili or whoever he's defending. Ginobili actually explode on him when he had an INJURY.

As I said before, Kobe's defense is good, but overrated.

His all-defense 1st-team honors are like Shakespeare in Love winning the Oscar over Saving Private Ryan.

There are tons better defender in the NBA, but Kobe hogs the media attention and, therefore, the media votes.

Chris Paul led the league in steals and he's All-Defense second team because Kobe is in the all-defense first team... (Bruce Bowen is the other guard-forward, but he deserves to be there.) And tell me how Kobe's defense is better than Josh Smith, who's not even on either of the teams.
